Not NaNo-related, but I got my first-ever check for my writing yesterday (other than for my old tech writing job, which doesn't count!), for a children's poem, "Inside Out House," that I sold to Guideposts for Kids! Woo hoo. The check is small enough it won't even take us all out to dinner, but I guess it'll take DH and me out to dinner, if we're careful about what we order. ;-) I don't know yet when the poem will be published.
Meanwhile, I keep thinking about NaNo instead of the other stuff I need to do this month. I'm sure I'll be burnt out on it by November! I'm going to try to get my two short stories (one for adults, one for kids) ready this weekend to send out on Monday, and then I'll only have about 60 other things crowding my brain...
