NaNoBlog 2002
30 days. 50,000 words. No sweat.

Monday, October 14, 2002

Darn, it's Columbus Day...no mail today, so I can't send my stories out. Oh well, at least they are all in the envelopes, stamped & ready to go. It's a nasty day out anyway--52 degrees and raining right now--so I'm glad not to have to go out.

Some people think it's unrealistic to try to get a NaNo novel published. But my goal is to write a publishable novel more than it is to write a novel in 30 days. Though I really do want to reach the word count, so I'll probably use the 30 days to do a lot of brainstorming on paper (e.g., a rough and tentative draft) and then just hope some of it is salvageable at the end! Of course, I'm just idealistic enough that I hope most of it is salvageable!
